ARCHITECTURE AND INTERIOR DESIGN
Suits were designed following bioclimatic parameters, such as cross ventilation and natural light, in order to create a pleasant temperature. Four suites were constructed with adobe and two with timber; all of them have elements constructed with local stone. These three materials are local, and were used by men to construct the first houses. Suites position in the area follows parameters to respect as much as possible original vegetation and landscape.
In the design of spaces and interiors the aim was to combine nice taste, comfort and simplicity for the enjoyment of our guests. Interior designs are characterized by the selection of contemporary and modernist furniture of recognized designers. We own set of sofas designed by Clara Porset, who was a Cuban designer and colleague of the Mexican architect, Luis Barragán. We also own a selection of designed chairs, such as the Acapulco, the Bertolla, the BKF argentina and the austrian designed by Michael Thonet in 1859.
Some of the pictures are reproductions in silk of important Mexican artists such as, Diego Rivera and Dr. Atl. Some others are beautiful pictures of flowers and birds from our own property. The decoration of the rooms also includes handcrafts from the regions: jicaras from Malinalco and rebozos from Tenancingo and Gualupita, Estado de México.
